Over the past ten days, Southern California has been dealing strong Santa Ana winds that led to at least five major fires, of which the Eaton and Palisades have been front and center of the discussion given the destruction to lives and communities. The containment of these fires continues to be a challenge as the winds continue to gust and the precipitation pattern is basically nothing (it has been that way since the summer).

The hope is for Mother Nature to remove the wind risk by the weekend and firefighting crews can begin the process of making sure the environment is safe for loved ones to return to their plot of land to see if there is anything left and if there is, how much is salvageable....
