My mother-in-law has recently gotten incredibly interested in Scottish culture, thanks largely to the Outlander TV series. For Christmas last year, I decided to make my mother-in-law a classic, Scottish, Dundee cake. My online research suggested that an authentic Dundee cake requires the use of Mackay’s brand marmalade, which is made exclusively with Seville oranges and can be difficult to find in the States. After the first few grocery stores left me empty handed in my search for Mackay’s marmalade, I knew I needed to get fancier and head to Market of Choice, one of Oregon’s hoitiest and toitiest grocery chains.

During the heat wave that hit the CAISO grid this last week, the “market of choice” for batteries looking to turn a profit was absolutely the DAM energy market, rather than the RTM energy market.
