Before the evolution of electrons occupied one’s time, parents across the world used to play this little game with their children called peek-a-boo. The actions were quite simple as either individual would place their hands over their eyes and at a moment’s notice open them up outward and voice the words peek-a-boo. Now the younger the audience the more likely some sort of laughter would eventually follow.

The purpose of the game was not a competitive one but more for building a relationship with one another as the opening of the hands allowed for a smile to be seen and one to be received. The energy space played its version of peek-a-boo this past month (June 2024) as the natural gas space opened the hands to display a $3.00 print for a couple of days early in the month, California peek-a-boo moment was when Mother Nature finally brought enough heat to move the power demand high enough for the midday to not have to curtail its renewable resources and the South Central moved away from a smothering heat dome just in time for the hurricane season to kick-off.
