Earlier this week, more than 600 attendees showed up to the spring GCPA conference in Houston.

All types of market participants and interested entities were represented, and panel topics ranged from nitty-gritty regulatory changes, to what kind of new generation is incoming, to, of course, the future of AI datacenter demand. Three broad topics stood out:

1. The upcoming implementation of Real Time Co-optimization plus Batteries (RTC+B)
2. The current state of the Texas Energy Fund (TEF)
3. Load growth, load growth, load growth
