Renewable Monthly Report | April 2025 - Mid-Month Split
Friday, May 2, 2025

The saying for March goes “in like a lion, out like a lamb” where cold winter weather gives way to mild spring.  For CAISO in April, the pattern was flipped on its head as the month started off warming quickly then cooling off over the second half of the month.  Even with the swings the conditions were not on par with winter low or summer high extremes, and overall load for CAISO was only a touch higher than in recent years, averaging 22.8 GW for the month as a whole.
